The many freedoms and attitudes of the state’s residents made Wes decide to reside in South Dakota. Plus, easy access to the Sioux Falls airport, made it feel like the perfect fit for his career and lifestyle. But the true appeal of South Dakota is family ties. Wes's son is married to a South Dakotan, and another son has also moved to the state. And with his daughter-in-law attending the top-notch nursing program at SDSU and now taking a job at Avera, it was easy for the Hakari clan to put down roots in the Mount Rushmore State.
